 Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Featured

An article by ADA-Vic member Ray Harvey of Cider House was recently published in Australian Defence Magazine (ADM). Ray's article draws attention to a new US Department of Defense (US DoD) certification process known as the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Compliance (CMMC) process. It builds upon previous frameworks to improve cybersecurity practices within the Defence Industry.

Given the upcoming and massive changes in the US DoD certification process, Australian SMEs who wish to do business with the US DoD and Primes will need to familiarise themselves with this process and understand the significant implications that flow from it.

Although it has not been deemed compulsory outside of the US, without certification and demonstrated compliance, Australian SMEs may struggle to secure contracts with supply chain partners outside of Australia.
