The International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences (ICAS) Emerging Technology Forum (ETF) Digital Transformation in Aerospace is taking place on 9-10 September 2019 at RMIT University, Storey Hall, Melbourne.

On Tuesday 30th of July, the ADA and VDA were present at ICN's Regional Opportunities Showcase in Bendigo. This was a great opportunity to get a feel for present and future projects that require partnerships from the Victorian SME Community.

The Australian Government announced the International Space Investment (ISI) initiative in the 2018-19 Budget as a part of the Australian Technology and Science Growth Plan - a measure to grow the Australian space industry. Under this measure, the Government has committed to providing $15 million over three years (starting from late 2019) to establish the ISI initiative, which will support strategic international space projects that generate employment and business opportunities for Australians.

The recent VDA-Land Systems briefing was a highly informative and engaging session, with MAJGEN Andrew Bottrell, Head of Land Systems (CASG), providing an update on the Land Systems Division and opportunities for industry.

Navy Industry Academia Conference

From the 29th to the 30th of May, The Naval Shipbuilding College will be hosting the Navy Industry Academia Training Conference at Deakin University Waterfront Campus Geelong, Victoria. 
This exclusive, two-day 'share-fest' brings together thought leaders from defence industry and academic organisations. This is a 'by invitation only' event with over 20 short, sharp, sessions focussing on collaboration, training delivery, learning theory and technology in training.
