ADA-Vic Featured in Manufacturers Monthly

Recently ADA-Vic was featured in a 'Manufacturers Monthly' piece authored by Connor Pearce. Connor's article explored Australia's efforts to build a sovereign Defence Industrial Capability.

The article features comments by ADA-Vic CEO Sean Farrell, who highlighted the uniqueness of the ongoing re-capitalisation of the Australian Defence Industry and how that will create a sovereign Defence Industrial Capability.

Sean also explained how Primes are now actively engaging and collaborating with local multi-purpose SMEs in Australia and how their operations are being shaped by the Commonwealth's Defence policy.

However, barriers to entry continue to exist for SMEs- and simply possessing subject matter expertise isn't enough to overcome them. The article also highlights how SMEs are encouraged to take advantage of the support being offered by government bodies like CDIC in order to receive support and realise their business aspirations within Defence Industry.

Also featured in the article was ADA-Vic member Moog Australia, a designer, manufacturer, and integrator of precision motion control products and solutions. Within the article, the managing director Bryan O'Connor commented on the manner in which Moog will be aiming to "double its workforce and invest in its own supply chains," and outlined how similar possibilities exist for many other SMEs as well.
