The Australian Defence Alliance (ADA) is Australia’s largest independent, professional advocacy body representing the policy and strategic governance needs of Small-to-Medium Enterprise (SME) businesses in the defence and dual-use industries.
At present, we represent almost 300 businesses consisting of SMEs, Professional Service Providers and Educational Institutions involved in supplying and supporting Defence capabilities. Additionally, we have almost 400 businesses participating in the Victorian Defence Alliances, an activity providing capability mapping against Defence programs of record, and existing under the auspices of ADA.
By becoming a member of ADA, Primes have the ability to gain direct access and visibility to potential supply chain partners. For our SME members, this relationship provides the ability to interact with Primes in an environment tailored to the specific needs of our community, though participation in briefings, networking events and specialised forums.
ADA has successfully established relationships and communication with key defence industry stakeholders, meaning we have a direct voice into the policy arena. The Commonwealth and Defence Primes recognise ADA's leadership in the industry, and our advice is considered a respected and credible source of SME-related policy across domestic and international regulatory and commercial domains.
